Cool Michael Golden pin-up

Found this pin-up at http://ferrandelgado.blogspot.com/2012/02/original-de-un-pinup-inedito-de-los-x.html. (Hey Ferran, look I'm actually referencing my source!)

Looks to be inspired by Golden's Uncanny X-Men Annual #7 if we assume that the "Galactus" in the background is actually the Impossible Man. However, the costumes look awfully strange and don't recognized them from any X-Men era. Cyclops is absent and Rogue in this pin-up looks a little more like Rachel Summers? Perhaps a commission?

Here's the original cover for Uncanny X-Men Annual #7 drawn by John Romita Jr, but it really doesn't shed any light on this piece though...

1984 - Anatomy of a cover - Rom #50

It's interesting to see how the cover was cropped, particularly on the right hand side.

Love that caption:

1981 - Daredevil unpublished page

Found this over at: http://themarvelageofcomics.tumblr.com/post/17752145442/heres-an-unprinted-page-by-frank-miller-and-klaus

This unpublished page was from the controversial "Angel Dust Murders" story line which was rejected by the Comics Code Authority and finally saw print in Daredevil #183-184. Not sure why it was cut though.

Simonson's cover to Mighty Thor #14

1979 Micronauts #8

From Bob McLeod's Facebook page:

1979 Micronauts #8 written by Bill Mantlo, pencils by Michael Golden, lettering by Diana Albers.
"The editors weren't happy with sales on this book, and blamed the art. They thought previous issues looked too "weak". They told Golden to add more blacks and draw it more like Kirby. They took Rubinstein off the book and had me ink it, which was ridiculous, because Rubinstein would have inked it very close to the pencils, which were much bolder than the previous issues, and I'm sure it would have looked fine."

 And here's the published version:
